What to expect at your free trial
No special trial class: your child joins a normal weekly session.
- When
- Saturday or Sunday, 10:00–12:00 or 12:30–14:30. It lasts 2 hours.
- Who's there
- Up to 8 children, grouped by school year, with at most 2 trial children in each group.
- What your child does
- Joins the regular children. There's a quick 10-minute check during the session to see which level suits them, and the same homework sheet as everyone else (about 20 minutes, due next session).
- At pick-up
- A 2-minute chat about how it went and which group fits.
- That evening
- A WhatsApp message with one thing your child did well, and the options to keep their seat. A block of 4 is £120, or pay as you go at £35.
- Cost
- Free, one trial per child. If your child misses it, we'll offer one more date.
- Bring
- A pencil and a water bottle. We send the address on WhatsApp after you book.

Questions parents ask
Do I need to book a free trial first?
We recommend it. The first 2-hour group session is free (one trial per child), so you and your child can see how it works before committing. There's no obligation to continue.
What subjects and ages do you cover?
Maths, English, SPAG, reading and writing for children aged 4–14. Maths is our specialism.
Where do sessions take place, and what are they like?
Sessions take place in a relaxed home setting in Oldbury. Our small-group sessions cover Maths, English, SPAG, reading and writing through engaging activities that build confidence, strengthen key skills and support each child's progress.
What's the difference between group sessions and one-to-one?
Group sessions are small, which keeps them relaxed and affordable, and children learn alongside others. One-to-one sessions suit children who need focused attention on a specific area. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll help you choose.
How does homework work?
Homework is set and reviewed every session. It takes about 20 minutes and is due at the next session. Trial children get the same homework sheet as regular students.
How will I know how my child is getting on?
We share a progress update with you every month.
How do payments work?
Payment is taken upfront, online, unless we've arranged otherwise. Sibling and referral discounts of 10% are available, so message us to find out more.
What if my child misses a session?
We understand that things can come up! Please let us know as early as possible if your child cannot attend and we'll do our best to arrange a catch-up session, subject to availability. We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice wherever possible.
